The Challenge
Inside the customer’s AODC North Warehouse, essential utilities, including electrical and communications cables and process drain lines, were fully exposed in areas where forklifts operate. Although no incident had yet occurred, the customer wanted to proactively reduce the risk of costly downtime, repairs, and safety hazards. As AJ-Allegheny Systems LLC’s Kenny Saul explained, the goal was simply to “make every effort to avoid the forklift coming in contact with and damaging the utilities.”
The Solution
SpaceGuard Products provided BeastWire® Pallet Rack Backing panels with Grrripper Brackets, finished in high-visibility yellow. Lessons for Others

He also noted that safety personnel, more than facilities managers, tend to be the best audience for these recommendations since they understand the value of preventative protection.
