The first rule of security is options, options, options. You asked, we've responded. SpaceGuard Products now offers transom-style slide doors in our 2180 welded security cages. The first generation of transom-style doors with a fully welded panel including the transom above the slide door opening is available in sizes up to 5' in width. The transoms will add even more stability to one of the most rigid wire enclosure systems on the market. New part numbers for our wire mesh doors begin with TF378SD (3x7 slide with 1' transom) and continue to TF570SD (5x7 slide with 1' transom).

In addition to the added offerings, we have worked hard to clean up the door design to truly make the 2180 welded sytem into the "Cadillac of wire partitions" all while reducing costs to keep the line competitively priced. Here is a sampling of improvements to look for:

Added security: All lock plates are now 1/2" wider than the old design and are constructed as one solid piece eliminating unecessary welds.

Added security / quieter close: Slide doors now use a lighter, one piece receiver. We have eliminated the number of heat applied to the receiver in the manufacturing process, giving you a consistent product. We have also replaced the security tabs previously welded to protect against "picking" the lock, with spring pins inside of the receiver. These pins also eliminate the shock when the door is slid shut.

Cleaner design: The leading (lock) side of the doors now includes 1-1/4" angle for a cleaner and sturdier door, also eliminating exposed sharp surfaces previously near the lock plate.

Eliminate duplicate parts: the 2180 line uses the same locks as our FordLogan and SG2000 wire partition lines through a newly designed lock receiver.
