SpaceGuard Products is proud to provide our customers with detailed drawings to accompany your wire mesh partition quote and subsequent order.  Our drawings are intended to help visualize and deliver information between your customer and our shop floor.  We try to keep them simple, but in many cases such as new construction, even the most trivial information can prove critical.  One example in particular, is to provide us with minimum door clearances if required by your customer.  The hinges, jambs, slam angle and even panel frame in the cases of our FordLogan and 2180 wire partitions, deduct several inches of clearance from the door.  So while a 3' x 7' door will not provide 36" clear openings, we can develop a solution that will meet your needs.

While some of our doors are reversible in design to help reduce lead times and costs, such as all standard FordLogan doors and standard SG2000 wire partition hinge doors (left/right reversible), other doors such as our 2180 welded wire partition are shipped with the hinged doors welded in the frame eliminating costly installation time.  Regardless of the product line you choose for your security cage, it never hurts to communicate the door position, hinge/slide direction, and secure side of the wire enclosure so that you are provided with the correct jambs, hardware, and locks.  Drawings such as the one below can be provided to you by our sales team to choose the correct hinge or slide door for your application:

SpaceGuard Products is pleased to introduce new and improved pallets built in effort to offer our customers the most competitive pricing on our wire partitions, wire mesh lockers, and pallet rack enclosures, and better protect the material from damage during LTL shipments.

We are replacing former part numbers Pallet4 and Pallet5, with new A-frame panels on shipments of greater than 4 panels.  The new part numbers are Pallet318 and Pallet310, respectively.  Pallet318 has dimensions of 31" x 100" and weighs 26 lbs less than its predecessor.  Pallet310 has dimensions of 31" x 124" and weighs 11 lbs less than its predecessor.  We can stack up to 10 wire mesh partition and locker doors/panels on these pallets (as opposed to 9, previously) - and even more for shorter length panels.  Additionally, we will be able to ship posts and hardware boxes on the insides of the A-frame to cut costs and protect the hardware box from getting lost during shipment.

These changes will prevent damage previously caused by items being stacked directly on top of our pallets.  The panels will now stand on their sides, similar to our larger box crates, allowing for easier handling due to weight centered on the pallet.  Given the fact we have also optimized truck space for the truck lines, we also hope this will open up new LTL opportunities and the chance to reduce costs further and ensure quality shipments.

Expanded metal security cages are an attractive option for high traffic areas, and offer added security with a tighter mesh design.  The restrictive mesh can prove more difficult to cut than larger wire mesh openings and is extremely difficult to climb. 

This added security accompanies the many advantages already offered by our welded wire partitions including the ease of installation and field retrofits.  Expanded metal is manufactured from a single sheet of steel so there is no unraveling when cut to accomodate existing pipes, beams, and other barriers.  The expanded metal also permits the free passage of light, heat, air, and sound that make wire partitions popular solutions for data center & colocation cages, DEA enclosures, and condo storage lockers.

The first rule of security is options, options, options.  You asked, we've responded.  SpaceGuard Products now offers transom-style slide doors in our 2180 welded security cages.  The first generation of transom-style doors with a fully welded panel including the transom above the slide door opening is available in sizes up to 5' in width.  The transoms will add even more stability to one of the most rigid wire enclosure systems on the market.  New part numbers for our wire mesh doors begin with TF378SD (3x7 slide with 1' transom) and continue to TF570SD (5x7 slide with 1' transom).

In addition to the added offerings, we have worked hard to clean up the door design to truly make the 2180 welded sytem into the "Cadillac of wire partitions" all while reducing costs to keep the line competitively priced.  Here is a sampling of improvements to look for:

• Added security: All lock plates are now 1/2" wider than the old design and are constructed as one solid piece eliminating unecessary welds.
• Added security / quieter close: Slide doors now use a lighter, one piece receiver.  We have eliminated the number of heat applied to the receiver in the manufacturing process, giving you a consistent product.  We have also replaced the security tabs previously welded to protect against "picking" the lock, with spring pins inside of the receiver.  These pins also eliminate the shock when the door is slid shut. 
• Cleaner design: The leading (lock) side of the doors now includes 1-1/4" angle for a cleaner and sturdier door, also eliminating exposed sharp surfaces previously near the lock plate.
• Eliminate duplicate parts: the 2180 line uses the same locks as our FordLogan and SG2000 wire partition lines through a newly designed lock receiver.
