Dear Eddie,
Welcome to the beginning of
autumn. The changing of the seasons
signals the end of school locker
projects and the beginning of a new
government fiscal year. It may even
signal a change in the type of
commercial or new construction
projects you focus on.
Moving forward... you've turned over
the keys to your customer on their
newly installed SpaceGuard wire
partition, locker, or pallet rack
enclosure. The posts have been
securely anchored, the ceiling is
hung, and the door is plumb and
operating properly. It's the door
that will serve as the main point of
interaction for your customer during
the life of that cage system.
Our September and October Spotlights
will focus on our doors and the
changes we are making to improve and
expand our offerings for you and
your customers.
We hope these ideas will generate
some new opportunities for you to
present your customers. We
certainly want to do our part to
support your continued success in
this challenging economy.
Thanks for your business.

Access Control
Access
control is the largest and fastest
growing factor behind the the
purchase and design considerations
of a wire enclosure.
Security is the top priority when
securing material or information,
whether used for server and network
equipment in a data center,
DEA-approved pharmaceutical
enclosure, military personnel
storage cage, or tool crib.
With the aid of rapidly emerging
technologies, you can now monitor
and control who enters that area and
for how long.
SpaceGuard proudly introduces our
latest electro-magnetic lock options
for both slide and swing doors in
our SG2000 wire partitions.
These slim, yet powerful maglocks
can be tied into your card reader,
key pad, or even biometric system.

Slide Matters
While
some doors are reversible such as
our FordLogan standard-size slide
and swing gates, others are not by
design. For example, our
2180 swing doors are pre-hung with
hinges welded in the frame.
This saves you a lot of installation
time in the field, but requires us
to know the hinge side and swing
direction prior to order. As
we
discuss, use the drawings we
provide you to ensure we know the
secure side of the enclosure and
have the proper position of your
slide or swing door called out
regardless of product line so that
you receive the correct material for
your solution.
We also explore other considerations
such as clearances in door openings.

Customer Corner
DID
YOU KNOW?
SpaceGuard can package material and break
freight up by order separately if your
material is going to several areas in a
facility; however, price usually dictates
that you have us ship all items together.
Do you and your installers know that
material is packaged in the following manner
to help you sort your material more
efficiently:
1) Locate the hardware box(es).
This will include all assembly hardware,
floor anchors, touch-up paint, and
installation instructions. The
hardware box rides securly inside of your
crate or within the A-frame of your
pallet. Should your material sit for any
amount of time prior to installation, we
recommend that you immediately identify and
safely store the hardware box until such
time.
2) Each SG2000 post is marked with a sticker
specifying whether it's a line post (LP),
corner post (CP), T-post (TP), or door post
(DP) prior to shipment. You will find these
stickers on the bottom of the base plate.
3) Like posts, special sized panels are
also marked with a sticker for easy
identification and panel dimensions.
